แม้ว่าการท่าเรือจะพลาดท่าเหลือ 10 คนจากการโดนใบแดงของ ธนบูรณ์ เกษารัตน์ ในนาที 53 และต้องเล่นอีกเกือบทั้งครึ่งหลังด้วยตัวผู้เล่นที่น้อยกว่าท่ามกลางฝนที่ตกลงมาอย่างหนัก แต่ด้วยวินัยในเกมรับที่โค้ช อเล็กซานเดร กาม่า ได้ใส่มานั้น ทำให้ “สิงห์เจ้าท่า” ยังสามารถรักษาสกอร์เอาไว้ได้

Port F.C. have clinched their first title of the 2025/26 calendar during pre-season, making history as the first-ever foreign team to win Indonesia’s PIALA PRESIDEN. The Lions return to Thailand not only with the prestigious trophy but also a prize of 11 million baht.
The Lions delivered a flawless campaign, securing three consecutive victories. They triumphed over two of Indonesia’s top sides in the group stage — defeating Persib Bandung (Liga 1 champions) 2-0 and Dewa United (runners-up) 2-1 — before advancing to the final, where they faced Oxford United, a strong team from English EFL Championship.
Despite Oxford United taking the lead in the 11th minute through Mark Harris, Teerasak Poeiphimai equalized late in the first half. Early in the second half, Bryan Pería, the Colombian striker, scored to give Port the lead at 2-1.
The Lions were reduced to 10 men in the 53rd minute when Tanaboon Kesarat was shown a red card. They had to hold their lead under heavy rain and one-man disadvantage for almost an entire half. However, their solid defensive discipline — instilled by head coach Alexandre Gama — helped them maintain the lead and seal the win.
On top of the team’s collective success, Bodin Phala was named Best Player of the Piala Presiden 2025, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists across 3 matches and playing a crucial role in the team’s success.
